Filson's Wool Sweater is crafted in Italy from wool yarns with maximum heat-trapping loft. It’s knitted with specialized machinery that creates very uniform, consistent stitching. The yarns are spun with a technique that traps air between the fibers, making this sweater exceptionally breathable and deceptively lightweight. The body is constructed with a Jersey stitch and the collar, cuffs and hem with a 2x2 rib stitch. Raglan sleeves provide ease of motion.

Wool has been the optimal fabric for outdoor clothing for centuries due to its ability to insulate even when wet. Filson's wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water without feeling damp or clammy, and wicks moisture to its tips for evaporation.
